iPhone storage cleaner
iPhone storage full? TuckVault finds duplicate photos, similar shots, oversized videos and repeated contacts, and shows you what to delete, compress or keep.
At a glance
- Shows what is filling your iPhone: duplicates, similar photos, large videos, large photos, contacts
- One place to review and clean each category
- Deletes only what you confirm, to Recently Deleted
- Reminds you to empty Recently Deleted so the space actually comes back
- Also home to the private vault, so the photos you remove from the library can go somewhere safe
“iPhone Storage Almost Full” is the message that sends people to the App Store, and the apps they find there mostly do one thing: delete photos. TuckVault does that too — but it starts by showing what is actually taking the space, and it never deletes anything you have not seen.
What fills an iPhone
Open Settings → General → iPhone Storage and the bar at the top tells the story. On almost every phone, Photos is the largest segment, and inside Photos the order is: videos, then similar and duplicate photos, then screenshots and oversized images. Apps come next; System Data and Messages attachments after that.
TuckVault works on the Photos segment, which is the one you control.
The cleanup routine
- Duplicate and similar photos. The duplicate cleaner groups repeats so you keep the best one.
- Large videos. The video compressor lists the biggest clips and makes smaller copies, so you keep the memory and lose the bulk.
- Large photos. The photo compressor shrinks 48 MP shots, scans and screenshots you will never print.
- Contacts. Not storage, but the same tidy-up: merge duplicate contacts.
- Empty Recently Deleted. Nothing is recovered until you do. The app reminds you.
Settings worth changing
- iCloud Photos → Optimize iPhone Storage keeps full-resolution photos in iCloud and small versions on the phone. The biggest single saving for most people, if you have iCloud space.
- Camera → Record Video at 1080p 30 fps instead of 4K 60 fps cuts future video size by three-quarters.
- Messages → Keep Messages → 1 Year removes old attachments you forgot about.
- Offload Unused Apps removes apps you do not open but keeps their data.
The vault side
A storage cleanup is also when you see every photo on the phone — including the ones that should not be one swipe away. Move those into the private vault before you clean, so “delete from library” never means “lose it”.
Lock what's private. Clear what isn't.
TuckVault keeps your private photos, videos and documents behind a PIN or pattern with AES encryption on your device — and cleans up duplicates, large videos and messy contacts on the same phone. Free to download for iPhone and Android.
Frequently asked questions
Why is my iPhone storage full when I deleted photos?
Deleted photos sit in Recently Deleted for 30 days and still count. Open Photos → Albums → Utilities → Recently Deleted and tap Delete All. If iCloud Photos is on, the Optimize iPhone Storage setting also matters: it keeps small versions on the phone and full versions in iCloud.
What is "System Data" and can TuckVault clear it?
System Data is caches, logs and temporary files that iOS manages itself. No app can clear it directly; restarting the phone and clearing Safari's cache helps a little. TuckVault focuses on the part you control — photos, videos and contacts — which is usually the largest share.
Does TuckVault need full access to my photos?
To find duplicates across the library it needs to read the library. iOS lets you grant access to selected photos only, but then the cleaner can only see those. Review the permission request and choose what you are comfortable with.
Is it free?
TuckVault is free to download. Some features may be part of an optional in-app purchase or subscription; current pricing is on the App Store listing.
